Value Statement
We value vulnerability:
Feelings are expected. Whether good or bad, trust the process by leaning in and telling your truth.
We value connection:
The most important connection is the one you have with your inner self. We invite you to embrace authenticity and to learn about yourself through connections with others, as well as with self.
We value the power of paying it forward:
Learning has responsibilities. Once you learn, you are empowered to teach and to do better.
NOTICE of CONFIDENTIALITY:
Therapists have an ethical and moral obligation to keep information revealed in session confidential. Furthermore, the law protects the confidential nature of the relationship between a client and their therapist.
There are several exceptions to this rule:
In an emergency when there is eminent danger to the client or another person, the therapist is required by law to breach confidentiality.
North Carolina Law requires that suspected child and elder abuse/neglect, or domestic violence be reported to the Department of Social Services.
Otherwise, information will only be released with written permission, unless client is under the age of 18. In that case, the client’s legal guardian must provide written consent.
